Victoria-based developer Moremac Property Group (Moremac) has purchased a 250-hectare site at 28 Alice Street in Beaudesert and is planning to install over 900 lots in their latest project, Beaumoor.

Moremac projects are commonly based in Melbourne locations, and they are now expecting to expand their developments through southeast Queensland.

The site in the Scenic Rim region will be Moremac’s second acquisition in Queensland after a strong sales result at its Deebing Heights project, South Place.

According to the Queensland Government Statistician’s Office, the Scenic Rim Region is one of the fastest growing Local Government areas in southeast Queensland contributing to 12.1% of the state’s population growth in 2020 to 2021.

Project Beaumoor is intended to be developed into a new community centrally located within walking distance to hospitals, schools, services, and entertainment.

A significant portion will remain as a conservation reserve complemented by over 150 hectares of open green space and parkland, as well as bike and pedestrian networks for easier accessibility to Beaudesert’s local and surrounding services.

The area site consists of 250 hectares and is expected to be separated into  to  sized lots.

Moremac’s Queensland General Manager, Andrew Brimblecombe, expects an increase in demand in their new Queensland development after the State Government’s commitment to doubling the first homeowner grant to $30,000 until mid 2025, as a way to encourage home ownership.

“The central location and amenity of our new Queensland project in Beaudesert stands on its own as an attractive prospect for land buyers – combined with the State Government’s boost to the first homeowner grant will make it all the more sought after,” Mr Brimblecombe said.

“There’s a lot of demand throughout southeast Queensland for well-located master-planned projects, so with two significant sites secured, we’re confident our Queensland expansion strategy is on the right track.”

Moremac is expecting construction on the new homes to commence in the coming months.
