The Canungra and Beaudesert sporting communities are proud to recognise Harrlyn Glockler as Sports Person of the Month for June. At just 9 years old, Harrlyn has demonstrated exceptional dedication, courage, and sportsmanship across multiple sports this season.
Harrlyn was recently awarded the Junior Girls Encouragement Trophy—shared with fellow swimmer Peyton Hobbs—for the 2024/25 season at the Canungra Social Swimming Club. She also participated in the Starlight Swimathon, showing not only athletic endurance but a strong sense of community and charity.
In addition to her swimming accomplishments, Harrlyn is an enthusiastic and active participant in inter-school sports, consistently giving her best effort and showing great team spirit.
This year also marked Harrlyn’s first season playing mixed-team rugby league with the Beaudesert Kingfishers U9s. Despite it being her debut season, she tackled the challenge—quite literally—by holding her own alongside the boys and embracing the physicality of the sport with confidence and determination.
Harrlyn’s achievements are a testament to her hard work, positive attitude, and fearless approach to new challenges. She continues to be a role model for young athletes in the region.
Congratulations, Harrlyn!
