Towri Sheep Cheeses was one of several stops on a recent tour by the Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and her husband, Professor Graeme Nimmo.
Dallas Davidson of Towri Sheep Cheeses said the Governor enjoyed a milking demonstration, followed by a cheese platter and local wine.
“She was very interested in the history of the farm,” said Dallas.
“We have been working with the Chef at Government House, Paul Newsham, for years. He tells us Her Excellency is very supportive of small local producers such as those in the Scenic Rim.”
