Locals are being encouraged to get a taste of the farms on their doorstep at the next Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trail on 13 March.

Half a dozen farms on the outskirts of Beaudesert are among 22 local producers who will participate in the industry-led Destination Scenic Rim event.

Dallas Davidson from Towri Sheep Cheeses said it was an opportunity to experience local working farms, which are not always open to the public.

“Farmers are around you everywhere. We supply your food, and we just love it when you come out to us with your lovely big smiles and just have a good time,” she said.

“We love the support, and we just love producing food. It’s good times.”
