Players faced difficult conditions for the final of the Cleavage Cup and Cloonan Jug on 2 July 2022 at Beaudesert Golf Club.

Heavy rainfall affected all players, with the course conditions very challenging, however play continued.

Jo Antcliff and Deb Dansey made it a hat trick, taking out the 18 hole Cleavage Cup for the third year in a row.

“We didn’t think we could do it, two old girls,” laughed Antcliff.

“The final was played in the rain, it was miserable and wet and the course was sloppy.”

“We just got in there and played each shot as best we could.”

The Cloonan Jug final was played in the same conditions with Ray Southwell and Andrew Thompson won the Cloonan Jug winning three and two.

John Knickel and Craig Ferguson played well to take second place in the 36 hole final round.

The Cloonan Jug is four ball match play run over several weeks that the Cloonan family have sponsored for many years.
