What Susie Saw

You can’t help but appreciate the scent of frangipani flowers on a balmy Beaudesert morning. To me the smell represents summer, like rain on freshly mowed grass or a sun ripened mango plucked straight from a backyard tree.

This interesting cloud formation stopped me in my tracks along the Tubber Street shortcut on a sunset dash to Aldi.

THESE curious cows of Helen Street eyed me off from a distance as I strode past on a post-work walk to loosen up after a day in the office.

THERE is power in hope, no matter how tough times get. My Christmas wish for all of us is that we hang on to hope all year round, especially when life throws its inevitable curve balls our way.

Here is an explosion of springtime colour in Beaudesert. I love how the bougainvillea outside Beaudesert Caravan Park looks so vibrant against the iconic purple jacarandas in bloom outside Beaudesert Showgrounds.

Here is a moment from a family walk around Barney View. I often crave times like these, particularly amid life’s juggles. I’m sure anyone who loves a bit of fresh air and sunshine will be able to relate. 

Here is a sunset scene of the Tubber Street cows, which captured my attention out on the job.I’ve always loved how we have livestock just casually grazing in the middle of town and I’ll keep loving it while it lasts amid the inevitable country urban sprawl.

These furry looking little flowers are really popping around town at the moment. I have it on good authority from my green thumbed friend Liz Avery that they are called Brachychiton bidwillii, commonly known as ‘little kurrajong’.

There is nothing like a blue winter sky in Beaudesert. It was a beautiful Sunday along Spring Creek when we decided to take a stroll around Jeune Park, where they do parkrun each Saturday.
