Aged care homes in the region received personalised Christmas cards and messages from local school children, thanks to the Beaudesert RSL Women’s Auxiliary and Beaudesert RSL Sub Branch.

The  Auxiliary and Sub Branch arranged for local schools, including Flagstone and Jimboomba State Schools, to write lovely messages on donated Christmas Cards to send to local nursing and aged care homes for Christmas.

“All children should feel very proud that they made an elderly person’s Christmas that little bit extra special by writing them a lovely heartfelt message on the Christmas cards,” said Joanne Heit of the Beaudesert RSL Women’s Auxiliary.

“All organisations were thrilled to receive the cards to pass onto their clients and the thanks we have received back is very heart warming.”

Ms Heit invited more schools to be involved in 2022, and asked for organisations who would like to receive cards to contact the Beaudesert RSL Sub Branch.

For more information or to become involved in the cards for aged care program, contact Beaudesert RSL Sub Branch on 5541 3720 between 8.30am and 1pm Monday to Friday.
