Whiddon Beaudesert brought out their celebratory streamers and party ballons on October 21 to mark the special day of resident Edna Schloss’s 101st birthday.
The queen of the day celebrated her birthday surrounded by staff and fellow residents with a beautiful, bright smile plastered on her face.
At 101, Edna still looks as young as ever with her secret to a long and happy life reliant on her preference of water and lemonade over alcohol.
Edna has lived quite a fulfilling life with 12 beautiful children of her own, and her granddaughter currently working in the kitchen at her Whiddon care home.
She finds that care has been central to her life as her past times included her looking after her grandmother during the war.
Her younger years of working on cotton, corn and cattle farms is certainly deserving of a well-rested retirement as she has been a resident at Whiddon since April 2023.
Edna enjoyed moving into care, especially since she had a friend at the home.
She loves the wildlife pondering around the area as well as the staff who look after her.
Whiddon appreciates being able to celebrate this incredible milestone with Edna and hopes she enjoyed the day just as much as everyone else.
